It's a Wonderful Life and a GIVEAWAY!

Well, we have had Christmas decorations up since Nov 1 at my house. I decided there was no point in putting away Halloween to just move all the boxes and get out Christmas a few weeks later. I am sure I broke some written or unwritten law bout skipping Thanksgiving but frankly, I don't care much. I wanted Christmas cheer so out came the few Christmas decorations I have.

And I really love it.

You know what else I love, traditions! And one tradition we have is Friday Family Movie Night. We all look forward to it each week and with Christmas coming, soon we will be adding on of our Family Favorites "Its a Wonderful Life" to the mix!

There are just so many parts of the movie we love. I love the part where Donna Reed makes this drawing for James Stewart "George"

Another favorite part is when he comes home after a long day and is surrounded by his family and also by all the things to fix! That is so close to real life in our home!

And then there is this.....

When McKay and I first started dating, it was Christmastime. And he would quote this to me and I just looked at him so confused! Growing up, I watched "White Christmas" a lot, not "It's a Wonderful Life." So I had no idea what he was talking about! ha!

There is a NEW movie coming out called "The Man Who Invented Christmas". And it looks amazing!

Film Synopsis:
The Man Who Invented Christmas tells the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day), the film shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.

THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS releases in theaters on November 22.

Another family tradition we have is to see a movie on Thanksgiving. You can bet we will be seating in the theater watching this one!

Grace Hill Media has been so generous to host a giveaway of three Family Favorite DVD's to one lucky winner!

Sound Of Music
Beauty and the Beast
A Christmas Carol

Please comment below with a family movie you look forward to watching together this Christmastime.

White Christmas is my all time favorite. Honestly I watch it all year round but it's even better at Christmas time!
