My Spouse Rocks

Its been three years since we said our "I do's". Here are three things that I love about him and why I think my Hubbs rocks.

1. I tend to do a lot of stupid things. I tend to be wrong most of all the time. That's ok. I have 28 years of learning to cope with that. It is now a joke of sorts in my life and when I am right about something, it is a nice surprise. BUT, sometimes I still must insist that I am right. I must defend my position due to pride alone. And even though when it is all said and done and I am wrong once more, he does not rub it in or make me feel bad about myself because of it. He has been a miracle worker for my self-esteem.

2. Travel. We love to travel. He makes sure that ever single weekend we do something fun. As much as an extrovert I am, I enjoy staying at home, watching a few movies and doing crafts. I like to travel but it is something that is not spontaneous to me. Speaking of spontaneous, he is the one who also plans the best dates.

3. Aside from being a great dad, a lovely lover, and a valiant man, the hubbs is always improving himself and seeking for more knowledge. I am inspired by that. He taught himself to fix our car, to do house repairs and continues to learn about the world and things beyond. And I am lucky because then he shares what he knows with me. Its like having a walking Cliff Notes.

This is one of my favorite pictures. I love it for many reasons but mainly because of what happened before and after. Before, he just consented to take a really bizarre picture with me because I thought it would be cool. After, he opened my door, Like he always does. Every door. Every. Time. I love the bright lighting and the white button up. Thank you for a great Labor Day weekend. He planned out the whole thing and it was a blast. It does mean though that you now will be planning every trip. Ever.

The picture has nothing to do with the post. I just like it. I came home from a shower today and was not expecting the hubbs to be home. And what a nice surprise that was! As I went to clean up for the evening, I noticed little orange sticky notes all over. "What...." As I looked around there they were, on the microwave, the milk jug, the book I am currently reading, on the computer....

How sweet is that. The one on the computer says "If I had to write in Binary, Id say you a 10!"

Happy Birthday My Man

I love birthdays. I love the hubbs. So when it is HIS turn to be in the spotlight, well, I just can't help myself. He is not one to make a big deal about things... wait, I need to re-phrase that because if you get him to tell you how he proposed, it was quite the event. He doesn't like to be front and center. But a few times a year I get to put him there. And he looks so good along the way. :)

I won't bore you or be "that blogger that blabs about stuff I don't care about", even though I could... and do on occasion. But, I will say that I am fully aware that I have a really good life because of the hubbs being in it.

Raggy Andy for Halloween

Monawillies waterfall hike on Oahu, for our Honeymoon.

Nauvoo with the fam and MY oh so buff pioneer man

Family vaca. A little red and slanted but smiling all the way

And that's it folks. He has gorgeous eyes, is tall and tan-able, and has such a giving soul.

Its moments like this when the world makes sense. My husband LOVES our toddler. He would give her the moon if possible. And she knows it. I am sure she knows it. They are best friends and best playmates. Its a real special treat for me to be able to be part of it. They have their own games and own special ways on communicating and he can always get her to behave. I can't. Maybe because she know that I have zero discipline in my bone. But I am getting better at following through with Timeouts. :) This picture captures the love and trust of a daughter and a father. She knows great adventure lies just up at the top of that the mountain and he knows that all too soon she won't want to hold his hand all of the time.
I really really have a big crush on this guy here. Just thought I would share.
PS- Hubbs if you read this, you should use this as your FB profile pict :)
